He was consecrated August 24,2002, in Trinity Charismatic Episcopal Cathedral, Kampala, UGANDA, with his Apostolic Succession through the Catholic Apostolic Church of Brazil, traced back to Bishop Scipione Rebiba of the Roman Catholic Church who was consecrated by Gian Pietro Cardinal Carafa [later became Pope Paul IV] on March 16, 1541. This Apostolic Line is direct from Peter, first Bishop of Rome. This is the same lineage as that of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II.

In 1985, The Right Reverend Manuel Lumpias, Bishop of the Central Diocese, and then the Prime Bishop of the Philippine Episcopal Church, named Father Weeks honorary Canon for Renewal and Evangelism. The following year, The Right Reverend David Ga, Bishop of the Diocese of Negros Oriental and Siquijor of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente [Philippine Independent Catholic Church] appointed Canon Weeks as honorary Monsignor, the first non-Filipino so appointed. He was also a Missioner from the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida. He has been a Chaplain with the International Order of St Luke the Physician.

Bishop Weeks was a Methodist minister for ten years. He served churches in the Virginia Annual Conference. He was ordained in the Episcopal Church USA as a deacon on the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, 1965. During the following Feast of the Epiphany, he was ordained to the Priesthood.

He served Episcopal [USA] Churches in Virginia, West Virginia and Florida, prior to becoming a missionary under the auspices of Barnabas Ministries which he founded in September,1980. For five years, he was a "Bible smuggler", first with Brother Andrew's OPEN DOORS and then with the Christian Revival Center as part of Barnabas' work.

On July 15, 1998 he was received into The International Communion of The Charismatic Episcopal Church by the Most Reverend Dale F. Howard, "re-ordered" as a Priest according to Roman Catholic Pontifical Rites, and installed as a Canon for the International Development Agency, the missionary arm of the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church. He served as Supervising Bishop of Rwanda, raising up Emmanuel Ngirumpatse to succeed him as first Bishop of Rwanda. Later he served as Supervising Bishop of Tanzania, raising up Charles Sekelwa and Daudi Chidawali to succeed him as Bishops. Finally he served as Supervising Bishop of Burundi from which on September 1, 2005 he retired from active missionary service and, with his wife makes his home in Lynchburg, VA.

Bishop Weeks is married to the former June Simmons and they have two daughters, Mrs. Gail Howard of Greensboro, NC, and Mrs. Melanie Stern of Forest, Va, six grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He is an amateur radio operator and a member of the Navy-Marine Corps Military Affiliate Radio Service [MARS]. His hobbies are coin collecting and radio.

He was honored by the South Hills [VA] Jaycees as an "Outstanding Young Man of the Year" in 1966 and holds Certificates of Merit from the Salvation Army, The American Legion and the Virgina Assocation of Mental Health. He is listed among "Who's Who in Religion," "Dictionary of International Biographies," and "Community Leaders and Noteworthy Americans." He has authored three books: "After You Receive Power," "God Is My Buddy, and Other Charismatic Misnomers," and "Depression." With Missionary Associate Mr. Hugh W. Kaiser, he has written a book about the Convergence Movement in the Charismatic Episcopal Church, entitled "Non Nobis, Domine!" and is currently out of print.

He is presently a retired bishop in the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church, and a missions" consultant to the Patriarch. Bishop Weeks may be contacted through the various communication channels noted on the main page.
